Echinops ritro

Very characteristic of E.  ritro large spines extending perpendicular to the upper surface of the leaf. In Greece, this species is very rare. On the other hand, E. ritro subsp.  sartorianus is indicated for Central Greece.  Maybe it's. The features in the photos are not enough to be attributed to this subspecies.
