Дмитрий, только не бейте меня! Smile image Chuang и Heckard в 1992 г. провели ревизию рода Orthocarpus и перенесли целый ряд видов в род Castilleja. Полученные позднее молекулярные данные подтверждают их точку зрения. В соответствии с этой ревизией, O. purpurascens теперь следует называть Castilleja exserta (A. Heller) T. I. Chuang & Heckard.
