В данном случае, рассматривается именно часто встречающийся G. album Mill. (Цвелёв, 2000). Согласно западноевропейским исследованиям, G. mollugo является диплоидом, а G. album - тетраплоидом. На территории «Флоры...» сколько-нибудь однозначное различение этих видов затруднительно (Маевский, 2014).
